I thought about waiting until January to start setting monthly goals, but what makes January 1 so much more magical than November 1? Or 3rd, as the case may be. Nothing. And so I'm starting with my November goals, in no particular order, except the one I'm dreading the most is at the top for fear that if I didn't get it down first, I'd "forget" to add it to the list.
Complete the Jessica Smith Fall Fitness Challenge. Holiday eatin' time is just around the corner. No better time than now to get started.
Finish Christmas shopping. This statement would indicate I've already started, which I haven't. But I have a very lofty goal of getting it all done before Thanksgiving so I don't have to brave the holiday crowds.
Design / Order Holiday cards. Last year I didn't get cards in the mail until maybe three days before Christmas. I'm trying to get ahead of the game this year and have them addressed and in the mail by December 10.
Google Calendar. I'm a pen and paper planner gal. Always have been. Always will be. But in an attempt to make life easier when I'm on the go (which is pretty much all the time now days), I'm determined to start utilizing Google calendar. I have to admit, I'm not very optimistic that I'll keep up with it, but I'm going to at least give it a try. I feel that my problem is going to be staying consistent with updating appointments, tasks, etc. I'm open to any suggestions y'all have on how to stay on top of it!
Practice Gratefulness. Not just this month, but all the time. It's so easy in the day-to-day to forget to stop and be thankful for the little things. A genuine smile from a stranger. Good conversations. Laughing so much it literally hurts. New shampoo and conditioner (to add to my other 38 bottles). Catching all the lights on green. I could go on and on, but the point is I need to start being more grateful for all of the little things that make up a day rather than dwelling on the one or two things that go wrong.
