The Great Remodel That Will Kill Us All is still in happening. It’s not happening as quickly as I had originally hoped, but it is still happening. Lots of rooms have been started / are semi-finished, but none of them are completely finished. I am so ready to share reveals and pictures with y’all, but I don’t have any rooms that are at the “reveal” stage yet. It’s maddening and I will never do a remodel again. On a positive note, though, I am no longer living in a state of chaos. Things are at least (mostly) organized and clean and operating on a fairly functional level.*
*Fairly functional level = still extremely sub-par and not ideal, but I do have a kitchen and running water downstairs now so it’s an improvement.
I’ve been super negligent of the blog and social media in general. Part of it is because of time. But another part of it is that social media in particular just became so exhausting and draining. I’ve worked hard to make it a happy place and surround myself with those I love / those who inspire me now, and I’m starting to find my love for it growing again. As for the blog, feeling blah doesn’t really lend itself to writing inspiration. But as with many other changes lately, focusing on blogging (both writing and reading) is going to become a larger part of my life again. I really do love it and have missed it terribly.
I’ve started the process of implementing some major lifestyle changes. I’m not going to pretend like it isn’t one of the harder things I’ve ever done, but it is necessary. And it’s beyond time to make them. As a brief overview: I was diagnosed with PCOS 14 years ago, back when there really wasn’t much information about it and doctors didn’t really know what to do with it. So I just let it go. And it’s taken a toll. That, along with some emotional stuff and a long journey of infertility has led to the realization that dramatic changes need to happen. And so they are. I’m not sure if I have the courage to be vulnerable enough to share the journey, but I’m working on it.
I’m still hard at work behind the scenes on several branches of my new brand and am hopeful to start the rolling launch of them within the next few weeks. While I will blog about them occasionally, my blog will remain more personal than business, so if you want to get updates as each aspect begins to debut, sign up for the newsletter.
