Laura Ann + Bryan: A Sweet Southern Wedding

Weddings + Celebrations

February 7, 2017

When I decided to use the blog this year to not only feature some of our awesome 2017 weddings, but to re-visit some favorite weddings over the past couple of years, I immediately knew I had to start with Laura Ann and Bryan. Their sweet, Southern wedding is the stuff dreams are made of.

Not only was their day gorgeous, but this couple, y’all. They are why I do what I do. They are sweet, full of fun and laughter, and, most importantly, they were focused on the meaning behind it all…the marriage.

From the December proposal that began with a dinner at their first date restaurant, strolled through Tinsel Tree Trail, and ended in a gazebo in Big Springs Park to the sweet note Bryan wrote on the soles of Laura Ann’s wedding day shoes, every part of their story is deeply meaningful and so intentional.

You may have seen a few images from their day in the 2017 edition of Alabama Weddings Magazine and I’m excited to share more that tell the story of their day.

J&D Farms is always a stunning backdrop for a wedding day, and it was certainly no exception on this August day. The pews in the orchard, the Dutch-style barn, the roaming roosters – it gives me all the heart eyes!

Laura Ann and her girls spent the morning sipping mimosas and getting ready in the Carriage House. I just cannot get enough of her staircase entrance to a bridal party and family dying to see her dressed and ready. I will always and forever love the photos of a bride and her daddy as he sees her for the first time. Add another reveal with grandpa and it just doesn’t get any sweeter!

The ceremony was sweet, meaningful, and beautiful. A ceremony violinist, shared communion, and that orchard setting. I know I keep mentioning it, but y’all. It is perfection.

When it came to the reception, Z and the Party Faktory brought the party like they always do. All the way through to the sparkler exit that sent them off to the Dominican Republic.
